  21. This has come up a few times for me with gcc on Alphas - the quick fix
  22. is to use cc for just those (X11) programs that need it, or if I
  23. remember right, link statically (the binary is huge).  I dismissed it
  24. as me not knowing what's going on, but someone suggested recently that
  25. it is a bug in gcc - I'll try to follow this up, but could anyone
  26. (Karl?) elaborate in the mean time?  If anyone could confirm it, I'll
  27. send a bug report.
